"I thought qualifying was our best, but football doesn't have a scenario." Sagnol
Willy Sagnol assessed Georgia's chances in the Euro-2024 playoff stage against Spain.
The 1/8 final match will take place on June 30.
"Qualifying for the Euro was a dream. We dreamed of getting to the playoffs but thought it was impossible. Before the match against Portugal, we didn't try to know who we would play with in case of victory; we just accepted everything as it was.
Another big challenge is facing Spain, who could be the best team in the group stage. It may be challenging, but we will fight from the first minute, as we have done throughout the tournament.
Our bench could be more interesting regarding football quality, but it is perfect regarding human attributes. I am very, very happy. I thought that qualifying was our best, but football doesn't have a scenario.
