The Premier League has banned ballboys from returning the ball to football players during matches. From now on, the football players must take the ball from the nearest special zone.
In turn, the task of the ballboys is to return the ball to the free zone. Their number will be increased by 4. In addition, ballboys must be far from the stands during games.
The Premier League's ruling was dictated by not giving an advantage to the home team, whose ballboys could deliberately manipulate the ball back to the players, doing so quickly or slowly depending on how the game was shaping up for their team.
