Emmanuel Macron said that he did not discuss his future with Kylian Mbappé.
On Tuesday, the PSG forward attended a reception at the Elysee Palace in honor of the Emir of Qatar. Earlier, it became known that Mbappe would leave the Paris club after the end of the season and may continue his career at Real Madrid.
When asked if this dinner was an attempt to keep Mbappe, the French president said:
"No, not at all. That issue should have been discussed; I left it to the discretion of the club management.
The fact that Mbappe was at the reception is entirely normal. He is a true champion who helped revive France's performance in the World Cup finals in Qatar.
