Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has decided to return to the German national team.
The 34-year-old football player announced the decision on Instagram.
"I will play again in the German national team in March.
Why? Because the team coach asked me, and I agreed. I'm sure this Euro team is capable of much more than most people think," Kroos wrote.
Kroos announced his retirement from the national team in the summer of 2021, right after Euro-2020. His last match for Germany occurred on June 29, 2021, when the Germans lost to England in the 1/8 finals of the European Championship.
