Bayern Munich issued a statement confirming that the coach, whose contract runs until the summer of 2025, will step down on June 30.
"Bayern" announced that this decision resulted from friendly negotiations with Tuchel and general manager Jan-Christian Dresen.
"We have agreed that after the end of the season, we will stop cooperation. Until then, we and the coaching staff will continue to do everything to achieve maximum success," said Tuchel.
Tuchel headed "Bayern" in March 2023 after the dismissal of Julian Nagelsmann. Under the leadership of the 50-year-old specialist, the Munich team became German champions last season.
Now "Bayern" is 8 points behind the leader "Bayer" after 22 rounds of the Bundesliga. In the first match of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League, the team lost to "Lazio" (0:1).
