The European Weightlifting Championship is ending in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Two "giants" of Armenia, Varazdat Lalayan and Simon Martirosyan, entered the arena today in the heavyweight category.
The title-holder Georgian weightlifter, Lasha Talakhadze, refused to participate due to an injury, and the primary fight was between Armenian weightlifters.
As a result, Varazdat Lalayan was declared the champion of Europe with 455 kg in the duel, and Simon Martirosyan was the runner-up (in the duel: 437 kg).
