The Armenian weightlifting team is the first in the team calculation for the European Championship

In the 2024 European Weightlifting Championship, Armenia took first place in the team calculation with the number of large and miniature medals.
Gold medal winners were Gor Sahakyan (67 kg), Hakob Mkrtchyan (96 kg), Varazdat Lalayan (+109 kg), and Alexandra Grigoryan (55 kg).
Davit Hovhannisyan (96 kg), Samvel Gasparyan (102 kg), and Simon Martirosyan (+109 kg) won the European vice-champion title.
Rafik Harutyunyan (81 kg), Garik Karapetyan (102 kg) and Hripsime Khurshudyan (87 kg) won bronze medals.
