Ceferin will not run for UEFA president

Earlier, it became known that Aleksandar Ceferin wanted to amend the UEFA statute and cancel his first presidential term, allowing him to run in 2027.

At the UEFA Congress today, most members supported these and other changes. England spoke against it, and Ukraine abstained.

Despite this, Ceferin has announced that he will not run for office in 2027.

"I have made a decision. I will no longer run for office in 2027," said the head of UEFA.

As you know, Ceferin has been the president of UEFA since 2016.
