"Barcelona" president Joan Laporta spoke about the future of Xavi, the head coach of the Catalan club. It was reported earlier that the Spaniard may be removed from the post.
"We have full confidence in Xavi," Laporta was quoted as saying by Barça Universal.
Currently, "Barcelona" is third in the Spanish league standings, having registered 35 points. The team lags behind the leader, "Girona," by 9 points.
Xavi's current contract with Barcelona runs until June 2025.
