Weightlifting Grand Prix. Hripsime Khurshudyan, gold medalist; Tatev Hakobyan, bronze medalist

Hripsime Khurshudyan, a member of the women's weightlifting team of Armenia, weighing 87 kg, won a gold medal at the Grand Prix of weightlifting, which is about to end in Doha, the capital of Qatar, with a result of 232 kg in the double event (106 + 126 kg).

In the snatch and push exercises, the Armenian sportswoman was awarded the miniature silver medals, holding the 106 and 126 kg barbells above her head, respectively.

Tatev Hakobyan, the other representative of Armenia in this weight class, became the bronze medalist of the Grand Prix, showing a result of 230 kg in the doubles. Tatev Hakobyan won the small gold medal (107 kg) in the snatch exercise and became the small bronze medalist in the push-up exercise, lifting the barbell and weighing 123 kg.

On the last day of the competition, superweightlifters Varazat Lalayan and Simon Martirosyan will take the stage today.

Earlier, the European champion Davit Hovhannisyan became the silver medalist of the Grand Prix with a result of 370 kg. Hovhannisyan showed a result of 170 kg in the 96 kg snatch exercise, and in the push exercise, he held the 200 kg barbell above his head.

Other representatives of Armenia, Garik Karapetyan, and Alexandra Grigoryan, became bronze medal winners of the tournament.

In the fight of 102 kg, Karapetyan showed a result of 391 kilograms of the two-fight and stood on the third level of the honor platform. The reigning European champion in the snatch exercise won a small gold medal by holding the 180 kg barbell above his head, and in the push exercise, he took 5th place with a result of 211 kg.

Alexandra Grigoryan, the gold medalist of the youth world, weighing 55 kg, was the first among the representatives of Armenia to compete. The 18-year-old sportswoman achieved 189 kilograms in the doubles and became the bronze medalist of the tournament.

Alexandra Grigoryan won the first medal in the senior competition.

In the snatch exercise, the Armenian sportswoman held the barbell weighing 81 kg above her head, and in the push exercise, 108 kg.
