The President of the Boxing Federation of Armenia, Hovhannes Hovsepyan, congratulated the coaches of the boxers on the occasion of the successful competition in the World Junior Sports Championship held in Yerevan.

"Armenian boxing wrote another glorious page in history, proving that hard and consistent work cannot remain fruitless. The Armenian team won 10 medals at the Junior World Championship: 4 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze. This was an exceptional result in the history of Armenian boxing.

We are second in the team fight. We lost only to the Russians, who participated in the girls' competition with an entire team, and we only had three athletes, one of whom won silver. If there were only men's calculations, we would have surpassed Russia's national team. 10 of our 16 athletes made it to the podium. This team has every chance to become the golden selection of Armenian boxing.

I congratulate all the coaches and athletes of our team, as well as the personal trainers of the boxers. Thanks for the excellent work, and thanks also to the staff of the Armenian Boxing Federation, who spared no effort to organize the Junior World Championship in the best possible way. Thanks to the government of Armenia and all the departments and sports structures that supported us.

We are already receiving congratulations from different countries for holding the World Cup in the best way. I am proud that Armenia is an example in world boxing in terms of having boxing tournaments."
