Manchester United defender Harry Maguire spoke about his unsuccessful move to West Ham United.
"In the season's first four games, I was not in the starting lineup; that story came to mind. I want to play football. West Ham? We did not reach an agreement. "Manchester United was happy that I stayed; I was happy to fight for my place," Maguire said to the "Express."
According to media reports, "West Ham" offered 35 million euros for Maguire.
Notably, the 30-year-old defender moved to "Manchester United" in August 2019. The amount of the transfer was 87 million euros. At the time, it was the most expensive purchase of a defender in football history.
