The Boxing Federation of Armenia reports that Armenia secured 13 medals at the European Junior Youth Championship in Slovenia, a record in the history of Armenian boxing in this age group.
Lianna Zhamharyan, one of our athletes, has already secured a ticket to the finals and at least a silver medal. In the girls' fight, Astghik Khachatryan settled for bronze. 46 kg Hamest Afrikyan and 48 kg Anahit Harutyunyan will fight for a place in the finals.
The following boxers will also fight for tickets to the final: 46 kg: Gor Karapetyan, 48 kg: Suren Katvalyan, 50 kg: Karen Zakharyan, 54 kg: Arsen Darbinyan, 60 kg: Arsen Karapetyan, 63 kg: Felix Papikyan, 66 kg: Volodya Kirakosyan, 80 kg: Hrach Khachatryan, and 90 kg: Aram Tumanyan.
