Mykhail Podoliak, the adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, stated that the country's position regarding the participation of Russians and Belarusians in the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 remains unchanged. Ukraine insists that athletes from Russia and Belarus do not participate in the tournament.
"Undoubtedly, the position of Ukraine is unchanged. Russia cannot participate in the 2024 Olympics. Sport is not outside of politics, sport is politics," Podoliak wrote on social networks.
Notably, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, stated that if Russians and Belarusians participate in the Paris Olympics, the games will be boycotted by a coalition of 35 countries.
