Euro-2024: The Armenian national team defeated the national team of Latvia
The Armenia-Latvia match of the 4th round of the Euro-2024 qualifying round ended at the "Republican" stadium named after Vazgen Sargsyan.
Nair Tiknizyan opened the scoring in the 35th minute. Although the Armenian team could send the ball into the opponent's goal in several episodes, the score remained the same in the first half.
In the 67th minute of the second half, the guests managed to equalize the score. Roberts Savalnieks registered the goal.
It seemed that the selections would earn one point each. Still, in the penultimate minute of the match, the Latvian football player played with his hand in his penalty area, and the referee awarded a penalty kick, which Tigran Barseghyan made without mistake, 2:1.
