Luka Modric reflected on the Croatian national team reaching the Nations League final.
In the semi-finals, the Croatians defeated the Netherlands 4:2 in extra time and will meet the winner of Spain or Italy in the decisive match.
"We played a brilliant match, exactly as we wanted. Maybe not in the first 20 minutes, but then we added more. After Kramaric scored, we did our best and did very well. It's a shame that we conceded at the last minute, but then we showed character again in extra time.
We didn't feel fear, but individual moments can change the course of the game, like, for example, a goal at the end of regular time. We responded well to that, and the coach decided to bring on Petkovic, who played a great game. The whole team played a brilliant match, from the first minute to the last minute.
Winning the final will be an incredible achievement, but now it is essential to recover competently and prepare for the game. Tomorrow we will see who will be our part in the final. Winning the first cup in the history of the national team will be a dream come true," said the captain of the Croatian national team.
