The Yerevan Open Championship of Greco-Roman style wrestling, named after Benur Pashayan, champion of the USSR, multiple world and European champion, and world cup winner, was held in Yerevan. The international adult tournament was organized with the support of the Yerevan Municipality.
More than 160 wrestlers from seven countries participated in the championship. Armenian athletes won 3 gold, 4 silver, and 9 bronze medals.
