"Our affairs are worse than Southgate's;" Mancini complained about the lack of Italian football players in the majors

Roberto Mancini, the coach of the Italian national team, complained about the lack of Italian football players in the best clubs of Serie A.

"Our (Italian national team's) affairs are worse than Southgate's (England national team's head coach-ed.). I wonder why there are so few strikers; we are too limited in this aspect.

Our three teams reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, but there were 7-8 Italians in those three teams. This is the reality.

We used to play football in the streets for 3-4 hours and then go to training. There is no such thing now. It is no coincidence that new names appear in countries such as Uruguay, Argentina, and Brazil, where people continue to play in the streets," said the head coach of the Italian national team.

It should be noted that on Thursday, Italy will play England in the first match of the qualifying round of Euro-2024.
