The Armenian Sports Gymnastics team has started the struggle in the first round of the World Cup in Kotbus, Germany.

Three representatives of Armenia, Gagik Khachikyan, Arthur Avetisyan, and Vahagn Davtyan, reached the final.

Young Gymnast Gagik Khachikyan overcame the qualification round of the exercise, scoring 15,000 points and leaving the final. Arthur Avetisyan and Vahagn Davtyan succeeded in the activity on the rings, scoring 14,533 and 14,500 points, respectively. Avetisyan took the 5th and Davtyan to the finals in the 6th place.

Only Harutyun Merdinyan did not overcome the qualification round from the gymnasts left out yesterday. In the exercise, he took 9th place and left the fight.

Today, on February 24, the Bronze medalist of the Olympic Games, world and European champion Arthur Davtyan, will be overturned.

It should be reminded that the Armenian national team is taking part in the first round of the World Cup, headed by coaches Sos Sargsyan and Hayk Nazaryan. The head coach of the team Hakob Serobyan is included in the competition team of the tournament.

Preparing for the stages of the World Cup, gymnasts have been in a two-week training camp since February 7 in Tbilisi.

The World Cup is ranked in the fall for the World Cup in Belgium, during which the Paris Olympics will be drawn.

The next round of the World Cup will be held from February 27 to March 5 in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and the representatives of Armenia will take part. Armenian gymnasts will be missed in Baku in March, and April 27-30 will perform in Cairo.
