4 Armenian runners will take part in an international tournament in Belgrade instead of Turkey
The Armenian athletics team was supposed to participate in the championship of the Balkan countries in Istanbul on February 11. Still, all sports events in Turkey were canceled due to the devastating earthquake in the country.
Instead, the Serbian Athletics Federation invited the representatives of Armenia to participate in the international tournament in Belgrade, which will start on February 15.
Not all athletic forms will be included in the tournament in the Serbian capital. Runners Razmik Mkrtchyan, Yervand Mkrtchyan, Gayane Chiloyan, and Elada Alaverdyan will most likely defend the sports honor of Armenia.
Armenia's leading triple jumper Levon Aghasyan is also preparing for the "World athletics silver tour" to be held in Kazakhstan, which will start in the second half of February.
