The Argentine "River Plate" will earn big money from the transfer of Enzo Fernandez from "Benfica" to "Chelsea."
The Lisbon club announced that "Chelsea" will pay 121 million euros for the 22-year-old midfielder. "River Plate" will receive 25% of that amount. That was the plan for Enzo's transfer to "Benfica" in the summer of 2022.
"TyC Sports" journalist Cesar Luis Merlo writes that "River Plate" will receive 30 million euros from Enzo's move to "Chelsea." The Argentine club will receive another 4 million euros thanks to the solidarity mechanism.
Enzo is a student of "River Plate." In the summer of 2022, the Portuguese "Benfica" bought a transfer Enzo for 10+8 million euros and a percentage of the subsequent resale.
This season, the midfielder scored four goals and six assists in 29 matches for "Benfica."
