Erik Israelyan, winner of the world and European youth boxing competitions, was hosted at MESCS

RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Karen Giloyan received this year's winner of the World and European Youth Boxing Championships, Erik Israelyan.

The deputy minister of ESCS congratulated the 18-year-old boxer on his recent successes, expressing confidence that the young fighter will speak his word in the adult fight thanks to hard work, "At this age, you have already achieved significant success, but I am sure that this is just the beginning. Thanks to your talent and hard work, you will strengthen your place also in the fight against adults. I want you to know that the state is always on the side of its talented athletes, who spare nothing to keep the country's honor and flag high on international platforms. We appreciate your work and thank you for your dedication to achieving success in sports and keeping the country's name high."

Eric Israelyan expressed his gratitude for the reception, stressing that he always felt state support by receiving the available benefits and nominal pensions. At the end of the year, the 18-year-old boxer will be awarded 1.5 million drams in connection with being recognized as the winner of the world youth championship. Israelyan will receive another 800,000 drams as the winner of the European Youth Championship.

According to the results of 2022, the total financial support to be allocated to the athlete will amount to 4 million 600 thousand drams. From 2023, the amount of monthly sports allowance of Erik Israelyan will be 200, and the nominal pension will be 240 thousand drams.

The parties agreed to meet regularly and solve the problems.

It should be noted that Israelyan won the World Youth Boxing Championship held in La Nucia, Spain, in November and won the gold medal of the European Youth Championship in April 2022, winning the tournament held in Bulgaria.
