16 gold medals from the Power Triathlon World Cup

The Armenian power triathlon team recently participated in the XPC powerlifting world cup in Shediac, Poland, and won 16 gold medals. The Armenian team included 18 athletes: teenagers, young people, and adults.

Ara Khachatryan from Gyumri (90 kg) became the absolute winner of the cup competition with a world record in the adult fight and won a gold medal. Ashot Petrosyan (90 kg) was recognized as the absolute winner of the cup competition in the youth fight.

Gevorg Aleksanyan (100 kg), Hayk Afyan (100 kg), and Makar Tamrazyan (67.5 kg) became the winners of the adult competition and set a European record. Armen Nikoghosyan (56 kg) and Melsik Martirosyan (60 kg) won the gold medal in the youth fight, which also set a European record.

Edgar Badalyan (60 kg), Narek Tamrazyan (67.5 kg), Kamo Yeghoyan (75 kilograms), Artyom Soloyan (90 kg), Gor Hovhannisyan (100 kg), Karen Petrosyan (110 kg) were also declared winners in their weight categories. , Artavazd Arakelyan (125 kg), Aram Margaryan (125 kg).

Police major Zhanna Shahnazaryan became the four-time world champion in women's counting.

In the team calculation, the Armenian team took first place. The Armenian athletes left for the competition under the leadership of the president of the Power Triathlon Federation of Armenia and the head coach of the team, Gagik Saroyan.

About 600 athletes from 15 countries participated in the World Cup in both power triathlon and bench press.

Gagik Saroyan, the president of the Power Triathlon Federation of Armenia, said this was the team's last international tournament. On December 17-18, the Armenian power triathlon championship will be held in the newly renovated sports hall of Voskehat.
