GOAL reports that Juventus' entire board of directors resigned Monday evening, forcing the club to form a new governing body.
Andrea Agnelli, Vice President Pavel Nedved, and CEO Maurizio Arrivabene resigned during an extraordinary meeting on November 28.
It all comes after Juventus' players and head coach Maurizio Sarri agreed to take a pay cut amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Italian prosecutor's office found some irregularities and began to look more closely at the case, which led to mass resignations two years later.
The new management team of the club will be chosen shortly. It was announced earlier that the shareholders' meeting would occur on December 27.
It is worth noting that Andrea Agnelli has been the president of the Turin club since May 2010. Under his leadership, "Juventus" became the champion of Italy 9 times in a row, reached the Champions League final two times, and won the Italian Cup and the "Super Cup" 5 times each.
