Armenian boxers won 9 medals at the "Silver Belt" international tournament

Armenian boxers participated in the "Silver Belt" international tournament in Slovenia from October 18 to 30 and won 9 medals: 3 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze.

Artur Bazeyan (57 kg), Rafael Hovhannisyan (86 kg), and Narek Manasyan (92 kg) were declared champions of the Armenian national team. The latter's rival did not appear in the final fight due to an injury.

The representative of Armenia, Artur Ghazaryan, weighing 60 kg, was also injured. Doctors did not allow him to participate in the final fight, and our athlete won the silver medal. Narek Hovhannisyan, who weighed 63.5 kg, also won the title vice-champion of the tournament.

4 more Armenian boxers - 51 kg Baregham Harutyunyan, 54 kg Janik Sahakyan, 67 kg Gurgen Madoyan and super heavyweight Davit Chaloyan won bronze medals and stood on the third level of the podium.

The Armenian boxing team, led by Karen Aghamalyan, participated in the tournament with 11 athletes. More than 300 boxers from 25 countries participated in this tournament initiated by IBA.
