The European under-20 weightlifting championship continues in Albania.
Two-time youth world champion Garik Karapetyan was declared the champion in the 96 kg weight class with a result of 367 kg in the double event, winning two miniature gold medals in separate exercises.
The second place was taken by the representative of Turkey, Emre Ozturk, who stood out for his unsportsmanlike behavior during the awarding ceremony.
He first tried to cover the flag of Armenia with his country's flag, but after the anthem of Armenia, he did not shake Karapetyan's hand and receive an adequate response.
The dispute was settled with the efforts of Armenian coaches and organizers.
