Mnatsakan Abrahamyan won a bronze medal at the European U20 Weightlifting Championship

Weightlifter Mnatsakan Abrahamyan became a bronze medalist in the U20 European Championship in Durres, Albania, with a result of 232 kg, and stood on the third level of the honor platform.

After the snatch exercise, Abrahamyan took only 5th place. Still, he performed more successfully in the push exercise and holding the 180 kg barbell above his head; he also won a small silver medal.

It should be noted that Armen Grigoryan took 4th place yesterday in the U23 competition with 306 kg. Grigoryan finished the snatch exercise with a mark of 140 kg in the 73 kg weight class, and in the push exercise, he held the 166 kg barbell above his head.

Earlier, Gor Sahakyan (67 kg) won a gold medal as part of the Armenian U20 national team, and Rafik Minasyan (61 kg) won the bronze medal in the two-fight event.

Sahakyan won the title of the winner in the U20 67 kg category with a result of 301 kg (134+167) in the two-fight event. The Armenian weightlifter won miniature silver medals in snatch and push.

Turkish representatives Yusuf Genc (298 kg) and Kan Kahriman (293 kilograms) took the second and third places in this weight category.

It is worth noting that  Armenia has 23 representatives in this review.
