The Armenian Boxing Federation reports that Armenia secured the 3rd medal in Budva's adult European women's boxing championship. Yekaterina Sicheva, the legionnaire of the Armenian national team, reached the semi-finals.
The 54 kg athlete had a formidable opponent in the quarter-finals. Finn Vilma Vitane attacked from the first round and tried acting as number one. The Finnish boxer won the opening round with a score of 4:1. In the second, Ekaterina began to defend more competently. As a result, the same 4:1 victory was awarded to Sicheva.
Our boxer looked fresher in the 3rd championship round, while his opponent was already exhausted. Sichel hit more goals and won the fight with a score of 3:2. Our athlete also secured at least a bronze medal.
