Armenia will represent 11 boxers at the "Silver Belt" international tournament
Armenia will represent 11 athletes at the inaugural international boxing tournament named "Silver Belt," to be held in Slovenia.
Baregham Harutyunyan will compete in the 51 kg category, Janik Sahakyan in the 54 class, and Artur Bazeyan, the European vice-champion, in the 57 category. Artur Ghazaryan is in the 60 kg weight category, and Narek Hovhannisyan is in the 63.5 kg category. Gurgen Madoyan will perform in the 67 kg category, Narek Zakharyan in the 71 class, and Hambardzum Hakobyan in the 80 variety. Rafael Hovhannisyan, the European vice-champion in the 86 kg weight category, Narek Manasyan, the bronze medalist of the European Championship in 92, and Davit Chaloyan, the world vice-champion in the super heavyweight class, will perform.
Our team will go to the competition under the leadership of Karen Aghamalyan. Initiated by the IBA, this tournament will field a solid line-up. More than 300 boxers from about 25 countries have already applied.
