Arthur Aleksanyan, four-time World Champion

Olympic champion, multiple World and European champion, 97 kg weight Artur Aleksanyan was declared champion at the World Wrestling Championship held in Belgrade, defeating Bulgaria's Kirill Milov in the final of 5:1. This was Aleksanyan's 4th gold medal at the world championships.

It should be noted that Artur Aleksanyan started the fight from the 1/16 final, where the opponent refused to fight. The victory was awarded to Aleksanyan. In the 1/8 finals, "White Bear" defeated Turkey's Metehan Basar with a score of 3:1, and in the quarterfinals, it won with a score of 9:0 over the representative of Kyrgyzstan, Beksultan Makhmudov. In the semi-finals, he defeated 3:1, the bronze medalist of the Tokyo Olympic Games, current world champion and representative of Iran Mohammadhadhi Abdullah Saravi.
