The club's press service reported that "Pyunik" FC has a new addition. 29-year-old Senegalese striker Dame Diop joined the team.
It is noted that Diop previously played for Senegalese "Toure Kunda," "Khimki" near Moscow, Gyumri "Shirak," Czech "Slavia," "Fastav Zlin," "Banik Ostrava," and Turkish "Hataispor." His last team was the Czech "Czech Budejovice."
As part of Gyumri "Shirak," the Senegalese striker became the champion of Armenia (2012/13), cup winner (2011/12), and super cup winner (2013). In the 2016/17 season, he won the Czech Cup with Fastav Zlin. The experienced striker played 43 games in the championships of the highest group of Armenia, becoming the author of 13 goals and 8 assists.
Dame Diop participated in the 2017/18 Europa League as part of the Czech "Fastav Zlin." in 5 of the 6 matches of the group stage of the draw; the Danish "Copenhagen" goal was scored. Diop once played for the U-17, U-20, and U-23 teams of Senegal and also played one match for the Senegal national team, participating in a friendly game with the Colombian national team in May 2014.
