"Pyunik" lost to "Sheriff" in a dramatic contest and will play in the group stage of the Conference League.

On August 25, the return match between "Sheriff" (Moldova) and "Pyunik" of the UEFA Europa League playoff round took place in Chisinau. As in the first match between the teams in Yerevan, the primary time of this match also ended with a goalless draw.
The match went to extra time, where no goals were scored. A penalty shootout decided the outcome of the game. Both teams were substandard, but luck smiled on "Sheriff" in the football lottery. "Pyunik" captured the opponent's goal only twice out of 6 approaches.
In the end, "Sheriff" won with a score of 3:2 and went to the Europa League group stage. "Pyunik" continues the struggle in the group stage of the Conference League.
