EU aid of 20 billion to Ukraine may fail

Concerning the European diplomat, Bloomberg reported that the European Union's plan to allocate 20 billion euros over four years to arm Kyiv may fail due to internal differences among the countries of the community.

On June 20, the European Commission called on the EU countries to make additional investments in the community budget for 2024–2027, which is necessary to approve the budget support program for Ukraine. The amount is 50 billion euros for four years and 20 billion euros in military aid. This proposal was received without enthusiasm in EU countries, whose budgets have been affected by economic problems related to anti-Russian sanctions. For this reason, the EU's long-term support programs for Ukraine have not yet been adopted.
