"Azerbaijan agrees to open Lachin and Aghdam roads simultaneously." Hadjizadeh
Azerbaijani MFA spokesman Aykhan Hajizade touched on the topics of the blockade of the Lachin Corridor, the opening of the Aghdam-Askeran road, and the entry of Red Cross Committee (ICRC) trucks into Nagorno-Karabakh.
"Regarding the issue of the simultaneous use of the Lachin road and the Aghdam-Khankend (Stepanakert) road, as Azerbaijan noted during high-level contacts with the US and other partners, Azerbaijan agreed to the simultaneous use of those two roads through the mediation of the ICRC. Unfortunately, the implementation of this agreement is hindered by the so-called regime created by Armenia in the Karabakh region.
We repeat that the Azerbaijani side is ready to create conditions for transporting goods along the Aghdam-Khankend road with the mediation of the ICRC, observing the border and customs procedures at the Lachin border crossing," Hajizade stated.
