Political commentator Hakob Badalyan wrote on his Facebook page.
"According to the statement of the US Department of State, Deputy Secretary of State Donfried urged Yerevan and Baku to resolve the issue of the Lachin Corridor through negotiations in telephone conversations with Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeihun Bayramov and to "immediately engage in negotiations to find a diplomatic solution to make movement through the Lachin Corridor possible."
What would you say is worth noting here? The fact that the USA says Azerbaijan's demands should be at least negotiable is familiar.
In this case, I will note the following. Yerevan says the movement of the corridor is the responsibility of Baku and the Russians, referring to the November 9 document. Judging by the State Department's message about Donfried's exhortation, Washington thinks a little differently. In terms of opening the corridor, Yerevan has to do with Baku.
This is just for thought."
