"We cannot allow the cruel dictatorial regime of Aliyev to threaten the lives of innocent peaceful people." Mayor

Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan wrote on his Facebook page:

"I express my deep gratitude and infinite gratitude to Yerevan's sister cities, Lyon and Marseille, and Yerevan's partner, Paris, the capital of France, in these difficult times for Armenia and Artsakh, when the Lachin Corridor, which is the only way of life and hope for Artsakh, has been closed for days by the Azerbaijanis, they're for sincere support in support of the restoration of uninterrupted road communication between Armenia and Artsakh.

I highly appreciate our French partners' fair-minded position and humanitarian initiative to come up with a joint call article on imposing sanctions on Azerbaijan on the occasion of Azerbaijan's closing of the Lachin road. Like the mayors of Paris, Lyon, and Marseille, we request that our friend France and the European Union react as quickly and strictly as possible to eliminate the created humanitarian disaster and resolve the tense situation in support of saving the civilian population of Artsakh. Together, we must not allow the brutal Aliyev dictatorial regime to continuously threaten the lives and freedom of thousands of innocent peaceful people with its anti-Armenian policy.

We highly value and value the unconditional condemnation of the Baku regime for the mentioned inhumane treatment of the Azerbaijani side and the violation of the agreements reached on November 9, 2020, by our French colleagues. Once again, with great gratitude and reverence, we thank France for us and Armenia in this challenging period. And for being solid and supportive of Artsakh."
