On Monday, the president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, announced that Venezuela and Colombia would ultimately open the land border from January 1 for private transport.
Maduro wrote on his Twitter page, "From January 1, 2023, we will open the border between Colombia and Venezuela. This will be a great gift for our people. We will fulfill everything we announced together with Petro."
