Political commentator Hakob Badalyan wrote on his Facebook page.
"The special representative of the European Union, Toivo Klaar, goes to Baku after Azerbaijan refuses the meeting in Brussels due to the participation of France; Klaar decides to publish his conclusion from the visit to Baku, whether Aliyev is loyal to the Brussels format.
A few days later, Klaar arrives in Yerevan; from here, he leaves for Istanbul, then announces that Turkey has reasonable offers. Did the proposals include not renewing the EU monitoring mission? I can't say, but there is no doubt that the mission was France's "bonus" from the Prague quadrilateral meeting, which the EU is taking back.
Ankara preferred to agree with Brussels rather than Paris in this matter, despite, perhaps, France's expectation that the intensification in the direction of the Caucasus would push Ankara to agreements in the order of the Mediterranean.
And to Brussels, according to everything, Erdogan made good proposals before he visited Turkmenistan, where he will discuss the issue of trilateral gas cooperation with the presidents of that country and Azerbaijan. And without it, it will be tough to effectively fulfill the EU-Azerbaijan energy agreement, which was signed in Baku in July 2022."
