The former press secretary of Deputy Prime Minister Nzhdeh Hovsepyan wrote on his Facebook page:
"While not rushing to express an opinion on the tripartite meeting and the adopted statement, one thing is clear Armenia needs to keep the West and Iran in the topic like air and water. This will be a challenging task, especially for the West, considering, on the one hand, the almost non-substantial nature of today's negotiations, contrary to American activity, and on the other hand, the overemphasis of the Russian presence in the text of the statement and thus the actual neglect (discrediting) of the American initiative.
Of course, the Russian direction should still be accepted. On the contrary, the content of the statement and Putin's total rejection of the word Karabakh require hundredfold efforts in this direction. Armenia needs to ensure diversification, so to speak, to accumulate bargaining chips and not to be utterly dependent on the conjunctural decisions of the region's owners. There is a vast, immeasurable amount of work to be done."
