We will not allow equality between the victim and the perpetrator of war crimes

Edmon Marukyan, RA ambassador with special assignments, wrote on his Facebook page.

"Toivo Klaar, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Georgia crisis, wrote on his Twitter microblog that today he received several videos about the war crimes committed against Azerbaijan. He emphasized that they still need to be confirmed and investigated, that the real perpetrators of all this should be brought to justice, and that the conflict has left deep wounds for both sides.
It's clear what's going on. When irrefutable evidence of war crimes committed by Azerbaijan appears, to counter it, Azerbaijan quickly presents, as before, in 2020. The Armenian side committed war crimes during the 44-day war.
Very quickly after that, an equal sign is placed between the victim and the perpetrator (as if both parties did the same thing).
Moreover, comparing any incident during a full-scale war with an apparent war crime committed during the discussion of the text of a peace treaty does not fit into any logic.
I am sure the Armenian forces have never committed such war crimes; there can be no comparison with what we saw in this despicable video.
We will not allow putting a sign of equality between the victim of the war crime and the perpetrator."
