This year, 8,485 tons of Russian grain entered Armenia via Azerbaijan

RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan presented the volume of goods imported into Armenia via Azerbaijan in 2025 and at the beginning of this year.

"In 2025, 6,580 tons of grain entered Armenia via the territory of Azerbaijan via the railway, of which 1,000 tons were Kazakh and 5,580 tons were Russian, as well as 1,210 tons of Azerbaijani gasoline.

As of January 8, 2026, 8,485 tons of Russian grain had entered Armenia via Azerbaijan by rail, and 4,103 tons were en route. Additionally, 7,600 tons of Azerbaijani oil products were en route, comprising 6,100 tons of gasoline and 1,500 tons of diesel.

As mentioned earlier, prices for gasoline and diesel are expected to decrease by up to 80 drams per liter compared to the previous month.

"I am happy to announce that due to these developments, other companies selling petroleum products are also working to reduce prices," he wrote.
