There is currently no information about the deaths of Armenian citizens as a result of clashes in Aleppo. Foreign Ministry
Clashes have taken place between government troops and Kurdish forces in the Syrian city of Aleppo. There are casualties. Reports indicate civilians are fleeing the Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods. Radar Armenia asked the Foreign Ministry if there was any information about Armenians living in the area, to which they replied: “The Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Aleppo is in constant contact with local authorities and representatives of Armenian community structures. There is currently no information about the presence of Armenian citizens among the casualties,” the ministry said.
They also added that relevant phone numbers are available and that information about them is posted on the Consulate General’s social media platforms. Consulate employees answer these numbers around the clock.
