The year 2025 was significant for the Water Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure. "The first water filling of the Vedi reservoir has begun. The reservoir will be put into operation in the near future," the committee noted in response to a written inquiry from Radar Armenia.
Radar Armenia inquired whether there were any plans to build new reservoirs. The committee noted that a project to create five new reservoirs was launched this year and approved by the Public Investment Committee, and that preparatory work is underway for the remaining reservoirs.
They also reported that, within the framework of the mandatory capital works program to modernize the water supply and wastewater systems in the service area of "Veolia Water" CJSC, the Water Committee has ordered the construction of 13 facilities, which have already started.
