On December 18, the subsequent bilateral Armenia-Greece defense consultations were held at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense, chaired by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defense Policy and International Cooperation Department of the RA Ministry of Defense, and Brigadier General Christos Spyropoulos, Director of the International Relations Directorate of the General Staff of the National Defense of Greece.
During the consultations, the work carried out in defense cooperation in 2025 and the programs for 2026 were discussed.
The parties noted with satisfaction that, thanks to joint efforts, cooperation has reached a qualitatively new level not only in quantitative terms, but also in substantive terms. It is currently complex in nature and includes several new areas of mutual interest.
Levon Ayvazyan presented the process of transformation of the RA Armed Forces.
The interlocutors also touched upon several issues related to regional and international security.
At the end of the consultations, the Armenia-Greece bilateral defense cooperation program for 2026 was signed, which includes several dozen events in Armenia and Greece.
