Warm hospitality and a high level of security: a combination that has attracted millions of visitors to choose Armenia as a tourist destination this year. In a video released by the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, tourists who have arrived in Armenia share their impressions. Everyone shares a positive attitude toward Armenia and its people.
"Armenians are very friendly and kind-hearted people. You can stop anyone on the street and ask them a question, and they will all try to help and advise," says one of the tourists we met.
Our country's safety culture and tourist appeal are also reflected in its performance in international rankings.
According to Lusine Gevorgyan, the head of the Tourism Committee, "This year, the famous international magazine, which conducts surveys every year to determine which countries are considered safe, ranked Armenia in eighth place. Security is in our lifestyle, our behavior, people really feel safe in Armenia."
"I have traveled to Barcelona and many other countries, where I almost always received warning messages that you should be careful with your bag and personal belongings to avoid theft. Unlike those countries, there is no need for such warnings in Armenia," says one of the tourists.
For tourists, security conditions are a key factor in choosing a destination.
"We feel completely safe here. We have not yet visited other cities in Armenia, but Yerevan, as the capital, is excellent. This is a truly European city, comfortable and safe," says another tourist.
One of the tourists notes: "Police officers and security guards are everywhere, for example, near attractions, in squares, near shops. This inspires security in tourists."
"Event tourism, festivals, or other tourist events take place without serious incidents, and in this regard, we should thank the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Police, who always support us during the organization of these events," says Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairman of the Tourism Committee.
Tourists note that, especially at night, Yerevan surpasses many cities they have visited in terms of security, which is an indicator of the coordinated and efficient work of all Ministry of Internal Affairs Police services.
According to Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairman of the Tourism Committee, "Not in all cities can a tourist feel safe at night; in other countries, they usually warn not to be outside after 11 p.m. Meanwhile, in Yerevan and other places we visit, nightlife or walking at night, living in a tent does not pose any problems for a tourist."
According to Condé Nast, a prestigious international travel magazine, Yerevan ranks 7th among the 10 cities with the best nightlife in the world.
Tourists' feedback indicates that Armenia is a destination worth visiting and traveling to safely. The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues its mission to ensure the safety of visitors to our country.
