Armenia and Germany signed a memorandum of understanding

The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Investigation of Aviation Accidents and Serious Incidents (BFU) with the Federal Bureau of Aviation Accident Investigation (BFU) of the Federal Republic of Germany—the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure reports.

"The goal of the cooperation is to increase the level of civil aviation safety and prevent aviation accidents. The Federal Bureau of Aviation Accident Investigation of the Federal Republic of Germany, if necessary and within its capabilities, will provide the Republic of Armenia with support and assistance in the use of equipment needed for aviation investigation.

-decoding and analysis of flight data and recordings on aircraft,

-services for the use of a technical laboratory,

-as well as professional assistance in the areas of airworthiness, air navigation services, and aerodromes.

The cooperation also contributes to the implementation of point 75 of the RA Government's Action Plan for 2021-2026, namely, strengthening the institutional capacities of the authorized body for conducting state professional investigations of aviation accidents and serious incidents, and ensuring their compliance with international standards.
