On December 15-16, Armenia-France bilateral strategic defense consultations were held in Paris, in which a delegation led by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defense Policy and International Cooperation Department of the RA Ministry of Defense, participated.
During the consultations, Levon Ayvazyan met with the newly appointed Head of the International Relations and Strategy Directorate of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, Guillaume Aulanier, and then the delegation held discussions with the Deputy Head of the Directorate, Lieutenant General Eric Patier.
During the consultations, the work carried out under the 2025 cooperation was summarized, and the programs for next year were outlined.
The parties emphasized the importance of giving strategic content and institutional character to bilateral cooperation.
As a result of the consultations, the Armenia-France Defense Cooperation Program for 2026 was signed, which includes several dozen events in almost all areas of the Armed Forces’ vital activities.
A decision has been made to hold the next round of strategic defense consultations in Yerevan.
