On December 15, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan participated in the annual summary event of the Tourism Committee of the RA Ministry of Economy, where the tourism sector's development trends, leading indicators, and legislative reforms were presented.
"The current year has been a year of regulation, stabilization, and progress for tourism and was marked by high indicators of tourist visits, and in several months, even by historic results," noted Gevorg Papoyan.
The Minister emphasized that the successes recorded in the sector are the result of targeted government policies to diversify markets and increase Armenia's visibility.
During the event, Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairwoman of the Tourism Committee, presented the committee's achievements in the current year, the major conferences and festivals it organized, and the successes it recorded on international platforms.
The event was attended by RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Babken Tunyan, UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia Fagansoaz Jacob, Director of the Armenian Viticulture and Winemaking Foundation Zaruhi Muradyan, foreign ambassadors, and representatives of the tourism sector.
