As a result of the measures implemented by the German Embassy in Armenia, the waiting time for submitting a German visa application has been significantly reduced.
In response to an inquiry from Armenpress, the German Embassy in Armenia noted this, citing Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that Germany expects something new regarding the issuance of visas to Armenian citizens.
Prime Minister Pashinyan said that during his meetings in Berlin, the German Ambassador to Armenia announced that starting next year, there will be no more queues for submitting German visa applications in Armenia.
When asked by Armenpress what news is expected in the process of issuing visas to Armenian citizens, the German Embassy in Armenia responded:
“In accordance with the Schengen visa rules and regulations, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Armenia has been working continuously in a comprehensive approach in recent months to improve the service provided to Armenians applying for visas. This work included the decision that, from July 2025, visa applications should be submitted to the external service provider, TLS Contact, while visa issuance remains the responsibility of the Embassy.
In parallel, the Embassy has updated its information system to present visa requirements to potential applicants in a more user-friendly way.
These measures have significantly reduced the time required to apply. The Embassy will inform the public about future developments in this regard.
