We are going through the peace process with the world's number one country. Papoyan

On December 8, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan participated in an event organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia (AmCham). In his speech, Papoyan emphasized the importance of the agreement reached in Washington on August 8, noting that it concerns not only the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the opening of communications, but also creates new opportunities for the entire region.

“We are pleased to note that we are conducting the peace process with the world’s number one economy, the number one state, the United States. We are implementing major joint projects, in particular, the TRIPP initiative, which allows us to talk about completely new horizons and opportunities opening up in economic relations between Armenia and the United States,” Papoyan noted.

The Minister also touched upon the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative. During the meeting, US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Kristina Kvien also delivered a speech, outlining the strategic directions and priorities that contribute to bilateral economic cooperation and institutional development.

Also present at the event were Natia Natsvlishvili, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Armenia, Martin Galstyan, Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, Tsovinar Vardanyan, Chairwoman of the Standing Committee on Financial, Credit and Budgetary Issues of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Arman Khojoyan and Anushik Avetyan, Deputy Ministers of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Gohar Abajyan, Director of Enterprise Armenia, and delegates from diplomatic structures and international organizations.
